Ian Thomas & The Band of Drifters Trio (Bio) – “ The Band of Drifters play Classic Honky Tonk and Original Country/Folk Music, making an excellent dance band.
Based mostly in Montana & Tennessee, the band also includes players from all over the country; keeping the music varied in arrangement, instrumentation, and regional influences. Their sets draw from country, folk and blues traditions with an emphasis on original songs, done in the old style. Their latest release is Heavy On The Lightfoot: Songs Of Gordon Lightfoot (September 2021), a collection of 13 songs from the legendary songwriter’s catalog.
Previous releases include the full length live albums – Rialto April 5, 2019 recorded at the Rialto Theater in Bozeman, MT and Live At Follow Yer Nose BBQ, recorded August 31, 2019 in Paradise Valley.
